Terms & Conditions

These terms cover buying prints and commissioning work from VanDuzerArt, LLC, and using vanduzerart.com. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. They sit alongside our privacy policy and our shipping and returns page.

Who you’re dealing with

VanDuzerArt, LLC is a Georgia limited liability company and the studio of Robert Crane. “We” and “us” below mean VanDuzerArt, LLC. You can reach us at vanduzerart@gmail.com.

Prints

Every print is made to order and numbered. Each print’s own page describes its size and paper. The artwork is black ink and graphite on white paper, and no two screens show it quite the same way, so the print in your hands may look slightly different from the image on your monitor.

Orders and pricing

• Prices are in US dollars.
• Prices on this site are refreshed from our store regularly, but the price at checkout is the one you pay. If the two ever differ, you’ll see the checkout price before you pay.
• Sales tax and shipping are calculated at checkout.
• Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify. Your confirmation email means we’ve received your order.
• We may cancel an order and refund it in full if a price or description was wrong, if we can’t fill it, or if it looks fraudulent. If that happens, we’ll tell you why.
• Shipping, delivery times, and returns are covered on the shipping and returns page.

The artwork and what you’re buying

The drawings and hand-lettering are original work by Robert Crane. Buying a print gets you the print. The copyright in the artwork stays with the artist.

You’re welcome to frame your print, hang it, give it away, or sell it someday. You may not copy, scan, or reproduce it, or use the image on products, in advertising, or anywhere else, without our written permission. The same goes for the rest of this site, including its photos, text, and design.

Many pieces depict titles, characters, people, and dialogue that belong to others. Those remain the property of their rights holders. VanDuzerArt, LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

If you hold rights in something shown on this site and have a concern, email vanduzerart@gmail.com. We’ll look into it promptly and reply.

Commissions

Robert Crane takes on custom pieces, and he may decline any request.

Every commission starts with a written quote, sent by email. The quote sets the price, any deposit, the schedule, how revisions work, and what’s refundable. If the quote and these terms disagree on any of those points, the quote wins.

If you send photos or other material to work from, you’re confirming you have the right to share them. We use them only to make your piece.

A commissioned piece is yours alone. Robert keeps the copyright, but we will never sell prints of it or offer it to anyone else.

Using this site

Please don’t use this site to break the law, interfere with how it runs, or harvest its content or data by automated means. We may block anyone who does.

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it’s provided as it is. Descriptions, prices, and availability can change without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.

Governing law and disputes

If something goes wrong, email us first. Most problems get sorted out in a reply or two.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute we can’t resolve informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we both agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court instead, if it qualifies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. The terms in place when you placed an order are the ones that apply to it.

Everything else

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
