Joe Torre - New York Yankees
Joe Torrre was a former Major league player who spent 17 seasons playing ball with the St. Louis Cardinals, the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets. In those 17 seasons he was voted to the All Star Team nine times. After his playing career concluded he went into Coaching where he spent the next 44 years.
After coaching the New York Mets, the Atlanta Braves and the St Louis Cardinals ( all teams he had played for on the field) He was hired by the New York Yankees in 1996. He had immediate success with the Yankees, winning a Division Championship (AL East) and the World Series in his first season. He would go on to win 10 Division Championships and four World Series titles before leaving the Yankees in 2007
After the Yankees he went on to coach the LA Dodgers to two division championships, but his teams could not get past Philadelphia in the NLCS in 2008 and 2009. He retired after the 2010 season
