Ogden Nash - A Drink With Something In It
Ogden Nash was a popular humorist who wrote for New York Newspapers starting in the 1930s after an unsuccessful foray into Bond Sales in the early days of the Great Depression. Though his work was typically published first in New York Papers and his books were printed by New York Publishing houses - he lived in Baltimore his whole life.
His first collection of funny poems was published in 1931, His last was published in 1972, a year after he died. For that forty year period he was a popular source of humor and wit. He was famous for making up words in his pun-like rhymes. The style that made him famous is evident in this Poem about mixed drinks
