Mark Richt - Georgia Bulldogs
Mark Richt was the Head Football Coach at Georgia from 2001 thru the 2015 season. His teams won the SEC Championship in the 2002 and 2005 seasons. He was named SEC Coach of the year both times.
His overall record at Georgia was an outstanding mark of 145-51 and yet he was let go in favor of a new coach - Kirby Smart who was perceived to be the leader who would lead the Bulldogs to challenge Nick Saban's teams at Alabama more effectively
Richt was a devout Christian, he attributes his faith to his early career years as an assistant coach at Florida and the influence of Head Coach Bobby Bowden
