Joe Cocker - The Letter
Joe Cocker released his version of the Box Tops hit " The Letter" as a single after concluding his Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour concluded in 1971. It was also included on the live album recorded on that same tour.
Cocker had success with new versions of songs originally released by the Beatles including; " With a Little help from my Friends", and " She Came in through the Bathroom Window", He also had hits with a version of Traffic's "Feelin Allright" and an update of an old Blues Song - "Cry Me a River"
John Belushi of Saturday Night Live performed a funny impersonation of Cocker's spastic singing style and his voice while wearing an outfit similar to this drawing. The photo used for this drawing was from Cocker's appearance at Woodstock in 1969
