Shawshank Redemption - Red Redding - I Hope...
Shawshank Redemption - Red gets on a bus and heads to MexicoAfter his parole from Shawshank Prison and his day trip to the farm near Buxton Maine where he retrieves Andy's letter and the cash Andy left for him underneath the Big Oak Tree next to a rock wall in the middle of the field, Red decides to "get busy living" and join his escaped friend, Andy Dufresne, in Zihuatenajo Mexico. This scene has minor differences in the original script compared to the scene as it was actually filmed. The script has Red going to a Greyhound Bus Station and asking for a ticket to McNary, Texas. In the Movie we see Red ask for a ticket to Fort Hancock, Texas the same town where Andy's blank post card to Red was postmarked some weeks or months earlier. Later in this scene we see a Trailways bus drive down a country road with Red looking out an open window. The short, final scene in the movie with Red walking down a sandy beach in Mexico to where Andy is working on his boat was actually the first scene that was filmed, before any of the scenes in the prison.Calligraphy and Drawing completed in May 2026 11" x 14" Numbered Print on Archival Quality, Acid Free 110lb Paper
